Frequently Asked Questions
What is a postpartum doula?
A postpartum doula provides compassionate, practical and emotional support to families after birth. This can include help with newborn care, breastfeeding support, emotional presence, nutritious meal prepping and advice, light household tasks and guidance on self care. My approach blends doula care with nutrition and nurturing community to support your whole wellbeing.
What kind of nutrition support do you offer?
As a trained Nutritionist specialising in pregnancy and postpartum nutrition, I offer personalised guidance on nourishing your body through pregnancy and postpartum, including meal planning, recipe ideas, nutritious meal prepping, and tips to support healing and energy.
Do you only support first-time mums?
Not at all! Every postpartum is different, whether it’s your first baby or your fourth. My support and guidance are for any mother who wants a more supported and nourishing experience.
Do you offer virtual support?
Yes! I offer virtual consults to provide flexible, accessible support wherever you are. These can complement in-person support or stand alone as part of your postpartum care.
Who are your affirmation cards for?
The affirmation cards are designed for mothers in their Fourth Trimester, but have brought joy and emotional wellbeing to mothers with babies up to 12 months. The physical version of the cards can be shipped within Ireland, and are usually dispatched within 2-3 working days. They are printed on recycled card, using solar and wind powered machines and plant based inks and toners. Alternatively, there is also a digital copy available.
